About

Pond Culture is one of the voices of Chris Matyszczyk.

Chris has been a multi award-winning executive creative director with some of the most celebrated advertising agencies in the world.

His creative work highlighting the horrors of domestic violence in Poland was written about across the globe (for example, on the front page of the New York Times). The work had a profound effect on cultural behavior.

He currently advises major global corporations on content creation and marketing through his company Howard Raucous LLC.

His writing has been published by the Financial Times, the European, the Sacramento Bee and The Singapore Press Holdings Group. Amongst others.

He was Simon Cowell before Simon Cowell was Simon Cowell, by being a regular and depressingly honest judge in a long-running European reality show in which viewers made their own TV commercials.

He was born in the United Kingdom, is probably Polish, but might possibly be Algerian.

He has been a professional golf caddy and once kicked a field goal in front of Muhammad Ali and John Elway.

For some time, he displayed his vast ignorance of the tech world by being a regular guest poster for zdnet.com.

More recently, he has been an occasional contributor to Sports Overnight America on the Sports Byline USA Radio Network.

Now, his writing can be found on news.com- the blog having the entirely accurate title of Technically Incorrect. (http://news.cnet.com/technically-incorrect/)

Pond Culture is an artistic experiment that is somewhat influenced by the work of Abbas Kiarostami.

Chris has fallen out with Will Ferrell.

Ok, never mind. We are officially broken up! I cannot possibly ever be your pen pal – you’re way too smart and too busy. Should have checked “About” b4 I hit “send” the first time.

I think you are one of the rare people who have checked “About.”

And I think that is very instructive.

I bow down to your credentials! Am with Judy C’s comments…way too busy to pen pal with 50 year old British expat fossils in North Carolina. Just going for a cuppa and rewind of the matador segment of the AI results from last night. Should probably have my cuppa first though…wouldn’t want nose bubbles going on. Also, the group medley dance/speed walk was hysterical…my head was down to my knees, no sound coming out kind of laughing…little things please little minds.

    Oh, Erika,

You actually watch those dance numbers?

My TIVO sponsorship allows me to skip past all that.
